Making a great itinerary even better

If you are coming to South Australia to join us on the Southern Ocean Walk and would like to add some other experiences as part of your visit there are a wide range of other activities and attractions on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

On your way down from or back to Adelaide be sure to call in to the famous McLaren Vale wine region with over 160 vineyards and 74 cellar doors.  Many feature award winning restaurants in diverse settings from historic family estates to ultra-modern contemporary designs.  This region can be explored in a variety of different ways including self-drive, or bike and e-bike tours.

Further south is Victor Harbor, a picturesque regional town and home to the Whale Centre.  From here you can catch the Cockle Train to Goolwa taking in the gorgeous coastal scenery along the way.  A visit to Horseshoe Bay and the Port Elliot Bakery, a local institution, is a must.

Once in Goolwa experience life on the water from a bygone era on the paddle steamer Oscar W or visit the Murray Mouth or Coorong via one of the local cruise operators.
